Just a thought. Also, does Main Street Wildwood still exist? I was a Main Street volunteer in my town and it really did a lot to improve and rebuild our town. Just thought that maybe they can do something or offer suggestions to help preserve the remaining Doo Wop structures. www.gwcoc.com/mainst/www.mainstreet.org/

There is still the Main Street group to help revitalize the Pacific Avenue "downtown" area. There is a raffle being offered on the boardwalk from the group for a '57 Chevy Bel Air.

Mainstreet Wildwood is another wonderful idea, but the town seems to like pouring their money down rat holes these days. Think of all the possibilities Wildwood has. It could truely be a one of a kind resort found nowhere else anywhere. Instead, it's being ruined. At least there is us and the ruining won't happen quietly.

Hey doowopper number one...I agree completely..rat holes indeed. If you are one of the Mayors pals then you get what you want..if not good luck. This town, in the red by 22 million $$$ , still spends its money on its friends. Hey lets waste money on a beach blast or street festival that will draw less then expected just to keep money in Mr Pantano's and Happennings TV's pockets. Please Wildwood wake up and see whats going on before its too late.

This info is bizarre. The "Holly Beach Station Mall" was a 1990's attempt when Pacific Ave. was still closed to traffic. It failed miserably. What happened to DooWop? Does Main St. Wildwood still exist? We haven't seen anything promoted downtown in years.
