Thom, I suppose you don't remember Hitchcock Manor, Castle Frankenstein, the early years of Nickels Midway Pier/Castle Dracula, the Wax Museum. Or Morey's Haunted House (1972-1984) and all of Morey's themed rides that were gone by 1986 like Planet of the Apes/Star Wars. You weren't in WW at all between 1970-1986? Those in my opinion were the best years of WW.

RIP I may be confused but wasn't this motel at the beginning of the boardwalk? What was the name of this place?

That's the Shore Plaza which burnt down last December, taking Sam's Pizza (to reopen soon) with it.

Was this place kept up well? Its a strange thing but I never paid that much attention to the motels right by the boardwalk. I was way off on the location of this place.

I thought the Shore Plaza Was kept up okay. Nothing great. At the time of the fire I believe they were starting some major renovations.

I remember reading here a while back that the lobby of the Shore Plaza was basically preserved perfectly from when it was originally built.

Jewell Real Estate has to be some of the biggest jerks on the Island. If anyone remembers, a few months back I wrote them a letter challenging some of their statements about the class of Wildwood visitors, as taken from their newsletter that I saw online. With no response coming my way, I thought they recieved my email and decided not to respond to avoid confrontation and things like that. Much to my surprise, instead of letting the issue go, they felt necessary to include my email address on their list that recieves this newsletter, and now each time I receive it, become more and more infuriated.

Biggest thing that pissed me off was that they had the guts to put me on thier email list. Everytime I get it I forward it back to them.....By them sending it to me, I feel its their way of saying....haha big businiess America gets another one over on the little guy and he can't stop it!
