Hi everyone, Im going to post some old pics. Feel free to add some comments to these cause Im not sure about some of these photos and where some of these old motels were located. I would also like to credit the American Sign Museum for some of these pics. Of course i had to throw in My all time favorite Wildwood sign- Josies fireside pizza- I used to get butterflys in my stomach coming down pacific ave back in the 70s with so much excitement!!!!! I believe this was located at Route 9 and Rio Grande Ave? This is one of the most famous advertising signs in the history of the Wildwoods. My guess from the way the girls are dressed is that it was taken in the 1940's. Your location was slightly off, however. The famous Wildwood with girls sign was located at the intersection of Route 9 and North Wildwood Boulevard, not Rio Grande. Today, there is a billboard there advertising Jewell Real Estate. It just ain't the same. Thom
