Dutch Wonderland is a great place, especially for the younger ones as it's motto goes "It's a kingdom for kids", it's great. Check out the Strassburg railroad too, kids love it.

Hi nance-- Cripp first referenced the "gene pool" and I believe he was describing people who APPEAR to lack average intelligence, or have a hillbilly,"back-woods," appearance. Am I right here Cripp? There may be a better way to describe a "shallow gene pool." Think "Deliverance." I'd be interested in hearing Cripp's description...he's very good at descriptions as in .... "dive." pam

That's what I mean by a shallow gene pool....family marrying family and having more family.

Ok, I think I get it. Thanks for the explanation. I was at Strassburg many times with my kids and we took the train ride. Haven't really been there for a few years, though.

Hey, I'm from PA and I never knew that about the 2nd cousin bit. Is that just for the Amish or anyone? Aren't the Amish kind of "exempt" from our laws?

But don't the Amish want nothing to do with our laws and rules? Isn't that true?

Glad to hear you had fun at Hershey! We did Dutch Wonderland yesterday. It is nice there - not Hershey - but I like the size of the place.
