DQ is ok. I don't even mind Maggie Moos. Do I prefer Duffers home-made ice cream, you bet! But (correct me if I'm wrong), I think even the Sea Shell farms their ice cream in (some top-shelf chain stuff).
I like Kohr's also. Nice creamy, not to tart, not to sweet (remember that old Country Time Lemonade commerical?), a taste one can't get anywhere else.

The Kohr's orange twist is really good. The Sea Shell takes the cake however for having the best sundaes.

Walked by last night and it still is a closed up Dunkin Donuts/ Baskin Robins. The sign has been up for a few weeks but so far I have not seen any action there.

You could put 10 dunkin donuts shops in a row annd they would all be mobbed. What's in their coffee? crack???

It was open this morning and the line was out the door. They had a pretty decent-sized line inside on both Saturday and Sunday nights as well.

They've put two Dunkin Donuts in within a three-block radius in my neighborhood over the past year. And, every morning when I pass them, they're mobbed. I guess it's kind of surprising that DD hasn't shown up on the Boardwalk before now.

I always find it interesting driving down 37 to the Tom's River bridge, all you pass are fast food joints and car dealers. Surprisingly there is is only 1 dunkin donuts I noticed on that long stretch of road but there are 2 McDonald's in about a 2 mile span.

Kind of weird that they have two McD's so close. I wonder how many Wawas there are in NJ. Probably at least 17 every square mile, huh?

You could put 10 dunkin donuts shops in a row annd they would all be mobbed. What's in their coffee? crack??? LOL... I believe the Dunkin' Donuts phenomenon comes down to this: The coffee in 99 percent of American restaurants and food shops is excruciatingly bad whereas Dunkin' Donuts coffee can be relied on to be only mildly to moderately bad. Good deal, right? Now pair that up with DONUTS. Who doesn't love them? The coffee-donut combination is a quintessentially American half-@ssed, sugar-laden, jack-me-up-baby breakfast. Like Hulk said--crack, but legal. (Not coincidentally, it's also good for a hangover, which is why the current slogan "America Runs on Dunkin" makes me smile. )

I was like HUH??? In the middle of nowhere.. Kind of weird that they have two McD's so close. I wonder how many Wawas there are in NJ. Probably at least 17 every square mile, huh?

But (correct me if I'm wrong), I think even the Sea Shell farms their ice cream in (some top-shelf chain stuff). Correct. Last time I got a peek inside Sea Shell's freezer, I saw barrels of Jack & Jill ice cream. Since it always tastes the same, I'm assuming that's still what they use. I love Duffers and Sea Shell- no trip to Wildwood is complete without a visit to both.
