There used to be a Wawa across the street from Becton High School. Where is one you're referring to Martin? I think so. I remember it being somewhere around the Candlewyck Diner. Is it gone? Yeah, I don't know what its called now but at last check its no longer a wawa.

Interesting observation about not being able to go inside of a Checkers. Makes sense. I know of one on the Clifton/Passic border and it was not in a nice area. I also remember one in one of the crappiest sections of AC before you get to the Marina district. I think it's gone now. I will check out Bananas next time I'm down there. Speaking of convenience stores, on the way back from Monmouth on Sunday I passed by the Quick Stop off of Route 35. Kevin Smith fans will know this as the location of the original Clerks movie. It was an interesting stop, to say the least... There's a checker's in clifton?

I don't think the Checkers is in Clifton it's either Passaic or definately Paterson - I student taught there and they gave out Checkers coupons for rewards to the Paterson students.

Yeah, that might be it. All I know is that I passed a Checkers and I went through Clifton to get to Passaic.

Interesting, I knew there was a white castle in clifton but not a checker's. The only one i've ever seen is on 37 heading into seaside heights.

By the way if anyone knows the seaside heights area I have a question. A few blocks from the boards there was a motel/pizza place called Giovanni's. When I was down last week it looks like its gone and replaced with condos but I could have the streets mixed up. Anyone have any info?

I am not exactly sure about Giovanni's but they have knocked down many places and are building condo's in Seaside.

I drove through downtown Passaic for the first time in years recently, and I remember noticing the Checkers place. Don't think Clifton has one.

A Classic hamburger in the theme of white castle is the white manna hamburger stand in Hackensack. If anyone passes through Hackensack you should try one.
