well if it's not touched since the 60s, why redo it haha Actually, I should have stated "This house hasn't been cleaned since the 1960's" or "This house hasn't been maintained since the 1960's"! novacancy - that's how I got a lot of my furniture, too!! I just got three vintage tables marked "Lane" and I got a wild retro bedroom set marked "Tempo - Kent Coffey". I'll have to post a pic - they are so late 50's! (how did you know I have Star Trek decor? There's a 6' Captain Kirk in my office!!).

Wildre: We have carpet in our bedroom that needs to be taken out. Get this they used the wrong glue. Rubber Cement. OOps. My carpet man said they need to bring a machine in to remove old padding. I can't wait to see the mess.
Did they put that over hardwood floors?
I just saw this, and yes it is over hardwood floors.. The floors will be ruined with the machine. However the floor man said that it would cost us 6 times as much for wood flooring than carpeting.

Ah, the old hardwood floors. All these new homes get now are plywood, so you HAVE to put carpet down or some other type of flooring.
