Hey Everyone!
I am finally purchasing my first home. After 6 years of renting and looking at plain, white walls, it was time for a change. I always knew that when I did buy a home, one room would be deemed "The Wildwood Room".
So far, I have photographs, postcards, a mini tram car, and beach-themed books, candles, and knick-knacks. My idea is to use the office or spare bedroom. Probably painting the walls a light, relaxing shade of blue. I even thought about hiring an artist to do a mural (something like what is onstage at the Casbah Comedy Club). But, that may be too expensive.
So, I am reaching out to all my buddies on the forum - anyone have a beach room or a WW room? I would like to pick your brains. What have you done to incorporate WW into your homes? I can't be the only obsessed one.

Hey Castle Lady, I believe the Morey's are hiring actors to scare people in Dante's and that crappy Curse of the Mummy, you could be the vampiress or something, too bad the Nickels can't hire you back because the castle is gone. Seriously you should try the new Dante's it looks better than ever. In my opinion Castle Drac was the #1 dark ride and Dante's was #2. Now, Dante's is #1 compared with the rest.

Something positive about Wildwood? Can't be! Oh well, it's still only about dark rides in a topic about Wildwood-Themed homes. The wonders never cease.

Why do you say the Curse of the Mummy is crappy?

Why do you say the Curse of the Mummy is crappy? He is just assuming that it does. Robert has never been in Curse of the Mummy because he hasn't been to Wildwood in years. When Robert was in Wildwood last, the Curse of the Mummy was an arcade.

I know from the posts on the Forum (mostly yours, I think ) that Robert hasn't been there - that's why I asked why he said that it's crappy...

I say it's crappy because it looks like a tent with a false front, it's not the same as the great haunted houses from years ago. And they still haven't done anything with the Nugget. Morey's suck. The Nugget would have been open 6 years ago if the pier was sold to someone other than the Morey's. If Bud Hunt could see what happened to his pier several years after his death and how the Morey's are doing nothing with it, he'd be rolling in his grave. The Nickels are another story. They will never open another haunted attraction because it will cost too much, and fears about the liability/insurance issues, they will have some excuse as to why they haven't built anything in 4 years. The fire was just an easy way out of phasing out Castle Dracula so they wouldn't have to hire so many workers every summer. The days of custom rides in Wildwood are over. I don't think we'll see another non-Morey dark ride even Sportland Pier is thinking twice about reopening Dr. Blood's, this website www.darkridethrills.com/page.cfm?pagea=6 says it was going to be refurbished in 2004 but it would be too costly.

Just think Anisha...if you get a job at Dante's on Morey's Pier, Anthony could be your boss. Just imagine that... "my-soon-to-be-ex" works for me. Now that you're single, you can meet with darkrideguy and me for a beer at Woody's....just leave the kids at home.

That is pretty funny tho. As for the beer..sure! When and where..and you buying? The kid is old enough to hang out by herself at home.
