Captain's Table, before they started to slip. After Monzo's (also gone), it's my favorite of all the Wildwood restaurants.

Duffy's, Avanti's and the CT(cerca 1980's when they had a breakfast menu and the food was still good) also even though its not in ww the lobster house is tops!
Bandana's has good food but lousy service.

Duffer's is a recent discovery for me, love the breakfast.
I'm intersted in which family restaurants people went to back in the 60's and 70's.
We also went to Russo's and a place I barely remember, Asselta's (sp) ? Anyone know this place?
Oh...and there was a place on Magnolia. I don't remember the name but for some reason I remember balck and white decor...I think. Any ideas on that one?

Anyone in their late 40's I hope would agree that The Wildwood Diner (R.I.P... I miss you) was great for Breakfast,Lunch & Dinner They had Blue Plate Specials that were Great! Like the Meatloaf or Turkey Dinner with all the Trimmings! They even had there own Baker who would come there on 1 Day a Week to Bake the Pies & Cakes! I know that in the end , the Wildwood Diner was not the Greatest, but I want to remember The Diner when it was really good & Cheap!

How Bout The Hitching Post Great place. I remember as a kid back in the 80s, we would hit all of the classic North Wildwood diners/restaurants during our week stay -- the HP, the Lampost, the Dolphin... and, of course, the ones that are still around like the Vegas. The Hitching Post was located on the southeast corner of 17th & Atlantic, right? I believe it was right across from the gawdy Grecian Gardens Motel, which still stands at the northeast corner of that intersection. Does anyone remember what was on the other two corners?

Our family likes Russo's, and the boathouse, and although not a restaurant, we love Primo's Subs!
