Some of my favorites are: Little Italy, Duffy's, Neil's, Crab House, Schellenger's, Lobster Shack, Uncle Bill's, Lobster House, Sam's Pizza. Yeah, I like to eat out when I'm in Wildwood! Also, in memorium, The Captain's Table.

This thread is making me hungry!
My favorites are/were The Dolphin (note my icon) , Capt Mac's, Duffers, and Zaberers for the atmosphere. When I was down last week, we had a really good meal at the Angelsea Pub. Great hoagies at A&LP and Mr D's in the Crest.
There was an unfortunate incident at Westy's - I am going to start a separate post about that.

We like both the CrabHouse and Lobster House. Bayside Pizza has been one of our favorites for quite a few years as well. A few years back, we were riding around the block a few times, looking for Schumann's, (I think that was the name), only to find that it was no longer there, but townhouses were replacing it. We thought we were all crazy when we could not find it!!

Sadly, Schumann's(Hudson's later on) came down a few years ago.

Yeah, and that was an incredible loss. I get so depressed when I drive past the site of Schumann's and The Satellite.
Not really a family restaurant, but does anyone remember Kurtz's?

The corner of 17th and Atlantic was SE corner - Hitching Post, SW corner- a big rooming house called Kelly's, NE corner Grecian Gardens and NW was Johnny's Bike and Crib rental--anyone remember the bike on the sign that would spin around?? After Johnny's was French Quarter Ice Cream parlor. We stayed at Kelly's before our family purchased our home in NWW 1977. There was a great little deli type store a block closer to the beach--near where the Candy Cottage is now called Mary's. We would stop there for penny candy after the beach. Those were the days.

LOVED the Capt. Table - Samuels is the best breakfast now in NW- they are so so fast!! I remember as a child going to Uncle Lous. Little Italy is great, I also like Adams, Snow White is an old one that is still around!

I'm intersted in which family restaurants people went to back in the 60's and 70's. Oh...and there was a place on Magnolia. I don't remember the name but for some reason I remember balck and white decor...I think. Any ideas on that one? Was that by any chance the " Magnolia House"? It was on the corner, about three blocks from the boards, and I think the outside was white trimmed with pink. That was one of my mom's favorites. I always ordered the tom turkey kids dinner. That was the first place I ever saw those "moo cow creamers". They used them in the restaurant, and they had "for sale at counter" printed on them. Kids drinks were served in them too, with a straw sticking out the back of the head.
