It would be the Merry-GO-Round at Cedar Ave and Yankee Maid Hotdogs across from it. Along with all the great entertainers that used to show up late at night from Phil and Eddies Surf Club for a bite to eat.

I'm with you, Anticondo, those are my same feelings. I too miss the old dark rides. Parks place too much emphasis on white-knuckle thrills today. I know thrills sell from a marketing standpoint, but why not dark rides as well? Dark rides never make the front cover of a brochure, except if it's a new attraction at Disney or something. I like the old blacklight, day-glo dark rides such as the old Bill Tracy, Pretzel rides and walk-throughs with live actors such as the castle and a few others. There's a new state-of-the-art haunted castle ride opening at Busch Gardens Williamsburg. And King's Dominion has the new Scooby Doo Haunted Mansion. I'm glad to see that even corporate parks hell bent on thrill rides and tall coasters are returning to dark rides. A lot of parks now have walk-through haunted houses as part of an October, Halloweekends celebration. (Such as Dorney Park)

Please bring back sportland pier! Wow, remember the days when North Wildwood alone had two major amusement piers? We just didn't know what we had back then...

Definately Hunt's Pier!!! Throroughly addicted from around 65 to 75. And very lucky to have free ride and movie passes. Just loved the Flyer, The Golden Nugget, The Pirate Ship and the Himalaya...OH! and the Scrambler that played all the Mexican music. GREAT STUFF, and what memories!! ;D ;D

Anything Hunts. It was fun to ride the log run and look down into JungleLand. Jungleland and the Log Run were the only two rides my mom would ride!!
There was always so much to do on Hunts. Watching the children's faces as they go by on the train that ran under the Flyer. Hearing the noises from Jungleland, or the Golden Nugget making that U-turn to overlook the beach and ocean. It all made Hunt's a special place.
Maybe the flyer, log run, golden nugget, do not compare with the "thrill rides" they build now that have to reach up to the sky to generate a rush, but they were colorful, fun to look at, and always made you smile. I would rather have these rides back any day.
An afternoon game of golf with my dad, grandfather, and brother at the Skyline Golf topped off any afternoon. Pierre's used to have golf on top of their restaurant but it was never as good as Hunt's.
To this day as I look down Hunt's Pier, I still see the "Glory Days" and smile.

OK - I know I can't just pick one thing! Hunt's pier! I was looking at Mr. Boardwalk's website today and although I remember some of the pier - there was a lot I forgot! I had to fight back tears but that was only because I was at work! The little, wooden bridge coming in the NW!!!! I think it was the Sportland Arcade and in the back was a water park?? That goes back a litte! The Planters Peanut Guy - was that at the Nut Hut? And my fave store that wrapped little things in gift wrap and sold them but is now the Gateway 26. How I loved buying those surprise presents! I know there is much more but I already said too much!
