If the theater was showing original releases, this picture would be from summer of '79, since that is when More American Graffitti was released. www.imdb.com/title/tt0079576/releaseinfoNice find, thanks

Great Post Card. It says it's from the 80's but I think on the movie sign it says that American Graffiti is playing. Did'nt that come out in the late seventies? I don't remember. I saw it at least three times and I think it was made in the seventies.

I thought AG came out in 1973. AG was 73, More AG was 79, which is what is on the marquee in the postcard

What was Gateway 26 before it was an arcade??? It used to be I guess a variety store. The only thing I remember about it was they would wrap items up in gift wrap - like a surprise present - and sold them. I LOVED buying them. That is one of those odd memories that I will always have. Needless to say, when we went down and Gateway was there - I was quite upset! I am over it now though

I can still remember the roar of the Flyer and the toot-toot of the train and the big crossing gates that would come down and the ding-ding of the crossing signals. And the skeletons shooting at each other in the ghost town. The sounds like a siren that would be made from the shoot-out, and the spooky sounds eminating from the Wahcky Shack, the silly sounds from Keystone Kops, the jungle sounds from Jungleland, the splash of the Log Flume, the rattle rattle rattle of the chain lift on the Golden Nugget, and the scary sounds from the Pirate Ship. Those were the days.

Before Gateway was there it was a huge gift shop called the Hustle Inn. Had lots of those wooden souvineers made of cedar. Wildwood needs more decent shops.
