The Hawaiian Rumble was at a perfect spot when Surf ave was SURF AVE. Now its just stupid. With the condos all around it, it looks out of place, much like the motels around the Ochard and ocean block.

I think we all knew that it was only a matter of time it would go, especially since many of the MOtels in that general area (T-Birf. 24th Street, Palm Crest, Flame, Bayberry, El Captain, Lisa's Family Motel) are all history. Another Sad Day for Wildwood.

nww wants ALL the motels removed and condos errected. Period. My story about the Rumble only proves that..

I suppose however some brave soul reading this could try to win it and keep it if they have a few extra $$$. But i'm sure that's wishful thinking

gotta be honest here, I never even heard of the place until this board, and I've been going to WW since '69. Must be a "north wildwood" thing, we never got up there much, except for on the boardwalk. I don't mean this to be a smart-alec, really, I never heard of the place. Any other "lifelong cresters" feel the same way (never heard of it)? Or, do I just not get out much? Maybe they were poor at advertising, which could have contributed to their demise.

We grew so fonf of it this summer we went three times in a week!! Inm just glad we got a chance to share the enjoyment of this place this summer.

thanks, Flyin, I thought I was the only one, but unlike you, I have never even seen or heard of it! maybe we'll get a chance to check it out in September? Duffers is our favorite mini-golf spot. And their homemade ice cream rocks!

Hawaiian Rumble did/does advertise, it may be a NWW thing. I live in NWW and rarely get to WC, except to the Library. So I really haven't gone to many WC places. I think we all tend to stay with what we know?

Does anyone know whwn the HR was built? Its got to be at least 20 years old and what was there before it? Al you might know since you stayed at the 24th right across the street.
I would love to know what they will start the bidding for on this place.
